Grupo Aciturri and ITP agree to take part as risk-benefit sharing partners in the Rolls Royce TRENT 1000
Miranda de Ebro (Burgos - Spain), Sept. 29th, 2006 – Grupo Aciturri has signed the financing agreement to take part as risk-benefit sharing partner in the TRENT 1000 Programme of Rolls Royce, which shall be the engine supplier for the “Dremliner” Boeing 787.
Datos Noticia
Grupo Aciturri will join this Programme through ITP (Industria de Turbo Propulsores S.A.). Everything shall be possible by the signing of a Long Term Syndicated Loan managed by Ahorro Corporación Financiera and Caja de Burgos and given not only by the last one but also by Caixa Galicia, Caja Castilla La Mancha and Caja Vital Kutxa.

Grupo Aciturri’s participation in Rolls Royce Trent 1000 through ITP is foreseen to yield profits for the next 50 years and reinforce its supplier place in the aeronautical sector.

ITP not only takes part 12% in the Rolls Royce Trent 100 engine but is also responsible for assembling all the module of the Low Pressure Turbine as well as for most of its manufacturing and design. This agreement is an important milestone for the promoter company ITP because Grupo Aciturri, a reference supplier in the aeronautical sector, is incorporated in this engine Programme as risk-benefit sharing partner.

SPASA (Subcontratación de Proyectos Aeronáuticos S.A.), a company making up Grupo Aciturri, and ITP have in parallel agreed to manufacture the engine casings for Trent 500, 700 and 800 families. This agreement, that will guarantee SPASA sales for the next 10 years and preference rights at the end, shall allow SPASA to become member of the small international group which has the necessary technology capabilities to manufacture this kind of parts.
